TUNING

We use a combination of aural tuning techniques and computerized tuning programs from the Reyburn Cyber Tuner. With this combination of tuning techniques we are able to achieve the highest tuning accuracy and quality.

REPAIR

Modern pianos have up to 10,00 parts. We are educatied in the latest techniques to assure broken piano parts are repaired to original specifications and regulation.

ACTION REGULATION

"Regulation is the adjustment of the mechanical aspects of the piano to compensate for the effects of wear, the compacting and settling of cloth, felt, and buckskin, as well as the dimensional changes in wood and wool parts due to changes in humidity." ~ The Piano Technicians Guild 

VOICING

Voicing is the adjustment of the piano's tone or quality of sound. Tone can be changed without affecting the pitch. For example, turning the bass or treble knobs on your stereo changes the tone but does not alter the notes the musician recorded. We can voice a piano to change its tonal personality from mellow to bright or robust to delicate. The degree of change possible depends upon the piano's design and condition. ~ The Piano Technicians Guild

CLEANING

Action, keybed and sounding board cleaning is important to maintaining a well functioning piano. A dirty action and keybed will harbor dust mites. Dust mites will damage piano felt over a period of time. We have special tools that allow us to clean the sounding board under the strings.
